Airport Lines Expected to Improve
We’ve all seen the pictures of security checkpoint lines that seemingly snake through the entire airport. Maybe you’ve even waited in one of those lines? The good news is the TSA has been hiring staff. And, airlines are investing in more modern (and faster) screening equipment.
According to a survey released by Travel Leaders Group, traveler satisfaction of overall airport security rose to 67.5% this year. That’s a slight increase over last year, but the good news is the trend toward better customer satisfaction is increasing.
We at Segale Travel recommend that all of our frequent travelers enroll in the TSA PreCheck program. PreCheck travelers go through a process of fingerprinting and a background check prior to traveling. Once they have the PreCheck in hand, they can avoid some of the hassles of the airport screening. PreCheck passengers aren’t required to remove their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, spare change ,etc.
